here was my view on all star weekend:
Friday:
Celebrity All-star game:
At times it was boring, but it was hilarious at times. That one guy had like what 10 fouls!?! lol
THe Harlem Globetrotters have the advantage. It’s hilarious. K was all acting like he was getting flagrant fouls all over the place haha. Handles was pretty funny too.
Terrell Owens can play. I bet he wanted to play cuz he knew he got skills and wanted to school some people.
I kinda hoped Clyde or Nique could have done at least one dunk, haha. The WNBA stars only seemed to be interested. Nancy got some ball handling skills! Lisa didn’t have her shot on. Pretty funny.
You got to love the Harlem Globe Trotters. Man I wished I could have gone and showed those guys how to play min golf! haha it’s pretty simple.
Rookie/Spohomore Game:
Dwayne Wade has got something against Brook. Why start Gasol over Lopez? He did well with limited minutes. Guys werent guarding their man so here’s Lopez trying to keep them out of the paint, and it’s dunks all around.
Kevin Durant will be an all-star. All star for years to come. When he did that reverse jam, it kind of reminded me of Sean last year when he did the alley-oop off the backboard dunk. I wish he could have played….
Beasley looks like he was worthy of that 2nd pick, Mayo was nice, Rose a no show.
Ramon Sessions was robbed. I mean come on? Aaron Brooks? Oh and if only Oden got that injury earlier, I’d put Love in. He deserved it.
The Rookies let there lead slip, and Durant ran wild. Was competitive though. Fun to watch. Lopez you better get ready to dunk on Wade next time you see him.

Saturday: Valentine’s Day! lol

VC would have destroyed these guys. Nice moments , but not too exciting. Why not AI, Wade, or VC? excuse me G-I-E-C-O. seriously though. it was alright.
Haier’s shooting Star:
I wanted the Spurs to repeat! Detroit did really well. I don’t remember much, but it was fun to watch.
Skills Challenge:
Harris could of won. It was the jumpshots. Oh and the passes. Rose did amazing. He wasn’t fast, but he was on target. Man I was picking Parker to win. I knew MO wouldn’t win. Rose’s dunk in the end was more exciting than some of the dunks in the contest this year.
3 Point shootout:
I never expected Cook to win. Him and Kapono and maybe Rashard are the only real point shooters. Mason too. Granger is a scorer, Bibby can make the 3 more than occasionally but not a 3 point specialist. I was thinking Kapono, but not this year. Give Cook some more minutes! lol this would have been so much better if Eddie House, Bonner, Ray Ray, and Peja was in.
Slam Dunk Contest:
Most boring contest I have seen in quite a while. I wanted to seee what Rudy was going to do, and he did amazing. Behind the back alley-oop pass with a one handed slam? how is that a 42?? IF his second dunk was done correctly after the 2nd or 3rd attempt, he would have gotten some 10s. He got robbed. Thank goodness for Nate, that was nice dunk on Howard! It was sick. Nice Kryptonite idea, but I don’t thin everbody would have gotten it woithout an explanation. Howard dissapointed me. Enough with the Gimmicks!!! SUperman phonebooth was funny, but come on. Was it 11ft? He could have probably done 13 or even 14ft. The pass wasn’t good too, it bounced off the rim. JR did alright. boring though.
Thank goodness for the Slam DUnk theatre special. I needed some laughs from all those other dunks, and seeing Vince Carter’s amazing performance in the Slam Dunk contest. Noone can compete with that. It was and will always be the greatest performance by one person in the dunk contest.
There not serious though right, 3 point dunk? bwahahahaha Seriously a double windmill honey dip from the freethrow line??? that doesn’t even make sense. haha
Vince Carter could do a 720 haha. I’ve seen him do it in his younger years.
Lebron next year in the dunk contest? that will be something amazing too see.
again it was an alright Saturday, I just feel like no all-star game is exciting without VC in it
Sunday: All-star game
The introduction was alright, I can understand the western indian reference of spiritual animals representing basketball stars. Kind of funny at times though.
My prediction for MVP was either Kobe or LBJ of course.
I felt like the new guys didn’t get alot of time to play. Devin, Mo, and Granger did notthing spectacular, but who knows, they might be coming back for years too come.
The 1st half it actually looked competitive. There was actually some defense, and they were running some zone. although a 19-0 run by the West? Come on guys.
Love Brandon Roy. He is the most exciting quiet all-star I’ve ever seen. haha
Pierce was actually hitting some shots early. Kobe was getting ina rythm and I considered James had an alright start.
I thought Yao Ming shouldn’t be playing in the all-star game
