I want to get out of the U.S. for good. Any former Americans living happily as Norwegian residents (native norwegians are also encouraged to answer)? Should I learn the language before I get there? Is it difficult to learn? What’s the day to day life like? How are immigrants treated by the public at large? How’s the seasonal weather? I’d really like to live in Oslo, so if anyone can tell me how they like living in the city, I’d really appreciate it.
And anything about all these would be cool too: Health care? Laws I should know? How’s the beer? Can I get Spaten there? Food? How are gays treated? How are cigarette smokers treated?

I may get a temp job in Stavanger, Norway in November for about 5 months. Could you please suggest me a website where to look for cheap apartments for rent? I would prefer one in a safe area (how is it in Stavanger in general?), private one (not to share a room with someone else; sharing a kitchen or bathroom may be OK) but may be very small. Any ideas? I’m going into 9th grade, and was given a list of books I can read. I only need to read one of these, and I’m looking for suggestions. These are the books that I would consider reading off of the list. I’d love for you to suggest one of these books to read, or just give me a rating of ones you have read from like, 1 to 10, ten being really good if you’ve only maybe read one of them. I’m pretty girly, my favorite authors are John Green and Sarah Dessen, and I have read series like Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl too….
