I was at a high school of reunion recently and one of my classmates who’s gay told me that my husband of 6 years is gay. He said he want to college with him and my husband was a member of the LGBT organization in college and even serve as a financial officer. I told him I don’t believe it but he e-mailed a picture of the LGBT members with my husband on there.
I love my husband and he’s been a very good father to our kids and to me as well but if he is living a secret life then this is a different story. I also know that my husband did a minor in women’s studies in college and voted no on Proposition 8. I understand if he is just an open-minded person but what if not? Should all of these tell me something? Is my husband gay even if his friends are straight? If he is I will still love him but why keep it a secret to me? He betrayed me if that’s the case. I don’t want to be use as a cover-up and we have kids too.

I am 25 and want to invest in these two ETFs and GE, MSFT, INTC, PFE and PG stocks. Your opinion on these investments? Is VEU the same as EFA ETF? What is your view on the economy in the next years to come? Etc?

Me and my husband are from a small town. We just relocated to a large city for my husband’s work and have been year almost a year. Our neighborhood is nice, clean and quiet. Most of our neighbors are Irish and Catholic and alot of them are from Ireland. It seems everyone either works as a cop, fireman, city worker, or owns their own business. I am a stay at home mom and my husband is a welder. We are both High school graduates and Christians. Our neighbors are not friendly towards us at all, and its not they are unfriendly towards each other its like they are shunning us.
My best friend here lives across the street. She is a stay at home mom too. Our husbands dont like each other. My husband is your average guy. He played football in highschool, watches stock car races, drinks american beer straight from the bottle, goes fishing, drives a pickup, wears jeans and work boots. Her husband is a cop, but also has real estate and plays the stock market and teaches Judo. He has a college degree, was Infantry in the army, speaks French, use to live in France and Korea, always dresses up and drinks wine, imported whiskey and martinis, goes to theater and art museum, and they eat at really fancy restraunts. The only sports he likes are Judo, boxing and fencing. He carries his gun wherever he goes. My husband has tried to be nice and invite him out, but he seems to blow us off. Its not that he is stuck up or mean. Whenever we try to talk to him it seems the only think he can talk about is history, politics, legal stuff, the economy, stocks, and guns. It seems my husband cant find any common ground with him, half the time he doesnt even understand what hes talking about. My friend says her husband grew up poor and everything they have he worked for and invested in, but I dont know any poor people that talk or act like that. All the guys on the block seem to love this guy and dislike my husband. I dont understand this and how can I get them to be friends so we can start doing things as couples

no, he said to trust in the lord for all things. Medical care means you dont trust in God to make you better. He gives us suffering to test our faith. even taking an aspirin to alleviate pain is an abomination, a direct defiance of gods clear will. We are put here on this earth to suffer and learn to love and trust in God. He will cure us of all sickness and illness in the fullness of time, according to his will.

Hi everyone. Could use some helpful input on this situation!
I am meeting my boyfriend’s family for the first time in about a month. I really care about this guy, I do love him, and we’ve been talking about getting married. However, there is an issue which I tried to ignore and really just can’t. I was raised Catholic, but also I was raised to appreciate and respect other people’s religions and cultures. I would consider myself more spiritual than anything else. He is agnostic. His parents within the past few years became born-again-Christians. They attend a church that, in my boyfriend’s opinion, is almost cult-like.
Recently, we have been having a lot of “coaching” conversations, because he says that his parents will probably be questioning me as to what my religious beliefs are, and that they will try to get me to come to their church. Basically, I have to lie to them about what my beliefs are. He says that he will still feel the same way about me no matter what his parents think, but that it would be easier for all of us if I would respond to their questions in a specific way. I’m not exactly thrilled about any of this.
Here’s the clincher…about a week ago, I googled his mom. I came across her Twitter page, which is public…so I looked at it. It was all about her church and the personal lives and testimonies of her fellow-church goers. Also, there were a lot of postings about my boyfriend (her son) and every attempt that she and her husband have made to try to get him to come to their church and open himself to Christianity and have an adult baptism..etc, etc. It is difficult for me to describe it in so few words, but I would describe her posts as being rather fanatical and inappropriate. My boyfriend has NO idea that his mom even knows how to use Twitter or has an account. I have not told him about what I saw on her Twitter page. I know he would be very upset, because whenever her or her fellow church-goers approach him about any of this, he gets extremely uncomfortable and irritated.
I have dated people of different faiths before, and it’s never been an issue. I dated a Hindu for a year, I dated an atheist for 2 years, I’ve dated Catholics and Baptist as well. But as for this current situation….All of this is a huge red flag to me…and I have no idea what to do about it. I’m almost 25 years old, I’m a grown woman and I really don’t think I should have to lie about my beliefs to anyone period. I don’t really know if I want to get married, join this family, and have kids when I know their grandparents are going to act this way. (The Twitter thing just blows my mind). Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation? Any input would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks for your help!!
